bings bikestore

website development and -design, product descriptions, product upload, and SEO
(2023)

I developed and designed a new and modernised website for the Aarhus-based bikeshop, Bings Bikestore. With an emphasis on user experience and enhanced visibility through SEO, Bings Bikestore is now better equipped to connect with their customers and cater to the needs of the cycling community.

Live site.

the challenge

With the increasing popularity of cycling in Denmark in all its forms – road, gravel, MTB, electric etc. – the competition amongst bike shops – especially online – simultaneously increases. Thus, a well-functioning and optimised website showcasing products and services is a central component of standing out in an otherwise populated market.

Bings Bikestore is a well-established name in the cycling world, known for their exceptional bicycle workshop and a diverse range of equipment, clothing, and bikes, particularly in the high-end segment, but their online presence, SEO, and e-commerce was lagging behind.

the goal

Consequently, the task at hand was to design and develop a new, modernised website with responsive design and an user-friendly interface, making bike exploration effortless and enjoyable on any device.

However, crafting an immersive digital experiences capturing the shop’s essence needed to be coupled with SEO to optimise their visibility on search engines, driving organic traffic and expanding their reach within the cycling community.

user-centric design

The heart of my design approach was putting the user first. I wanted to create an online space where bike enthusiasts could effortlessly explore the world of cycling. To achieve this, I focused on a user-friendly interface that made bike discovery enjoyable, whether on a desktop, tablet, or smartphone.

responsive design

In a world where users access websites on various devices, a responsive design was essential. Our commitment to responsiveness ensured that the website provided an optimal viewing and interactive experience across all screen sizes and devices.

seo integration

I recognized the importance of SEO in enhancing the store's visibility on search engines. The strategy included optimizing website content, meta tags, and improving site structure to boost organic traffic and expand their reach within the cycling community.

brand consistency

I maintained brand consistency by incorporating Bings Bikestore's signature colors, logo, and typography throughout the website. This ensured a seamless transition for their loyal customers from the physical store to the online platform.
